Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2018 debuted in Frankfurt
The Detroit Auto Show was the perfect place for Chevrolet to present their newest vehicle - the Traverse 2018. For the 2018 model the Traverse is completely renewed, and this is the second generation of vehicles produced by the brand which has three rows of seats.
This Chevy launches a completely new platform that is stiffer and lighter than models before, and yet it has grown 17 milimeters in length. However, the interesting gain is the wheelbase that is now 50 milimeters higher, which translates to a 7% growth in space for the occupants of the second row and an 11% increase for the passengers sitting in the third row of this automobile. The cabin offers well-recieved amenities such as a three-zone automatic climate control, seven USB ports, a leather-wrapped multifunction wheel, a 10-speaker Bose audio system and a large 8 inch touch display equipped with Chevrolet MyLink, Apple Carplay and Android compatibility, as well as 4G LTE connectivity which can connect up to 7 devices at a time with 3 GB of data available. Talk about convenience, right?
Now, let's get down to business. The mechanical part brings us a pleasant surprise, which is the new nine-speed automatic tranmission that made its debut recently at the 2018 GMC Terrain. The good old 2.6 liter V6 engine which produces 305 HP and 350 Nm of torque will be available for future Traverse drivers. This binomial as well as the weight reduction will allow the new Chevy to go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds, which isn't bad considering it's purely a family-type vehicle.
When it comes to the safety of the Traverse 2018, Chevrolet definitely did not disappoint. ABS brakes, StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Assist, Surround Vision with a rear camera mirror, Front Automatic Braking and seven airbags are just a few of the available safety features in Chevy's new beast.
